India Bans 118 Chinese Mobile Apps Under Security Cover

After tensions with China in Ladakh, India once again banned 118 mobile apps, including Chinese mobile applications and video game PubG, under the pretext of security threats.

The Indian technology minister has alleged that the banned mobile apps were sharing users’ personal information and other data in a suspicious manner.

India banned 59 Chinese mobile apps in June this year, citing security concerns, following tensions between Chinese and Indian forces in the Ladakh region.
